This was posted in the april news letter which can be found here http://blog.ebid.net/2014/04/30/ebid...-april-2014-2/

We’ve been building our new “Require Immediate Payment” system, this is going through its final stages of testing at the moment. It’s been requested by many eBidders to ensure payment is received safely and swiftly from their buyers. It will be optional and will allow sellers to decide if their buyers must pay immediately after a BuyNow is made.

We are still waiting for this option off immediate payment.

If the buyer requests an amended invoice then ebid provide a nice calculator that will offer the reduction in percentage or as a figure.

No....i say keep it nice and simple as it is.
    I couldn't agree more.
I don't think there is a "problem", I think it is just a convenience for a few sellers, who are anxious about payment..

Those sellers could state on the listing that immediate payment was required, and that the sale is void if payment is not immediate.
They would then have to decide whether to cancel the sale a few seconds later, or hang on for an hour or two for payment to arrive.
A problem for them to decide, not me. Depends on how much they want the sale. Personally, I'd rather give busy people a day or two to pay, and be sure of the sale, but each to his own.

My problem is people paying too quickly, so I have to refund the excess postage, because I always combine postage to save the buyer money.

Let's let those with anxieties about immediate payment solve them for themselves, and leave the rest of us to carry on at a more sedate pace.

    I don't think there's a problem, either.
I also have the problem of too quick payment on occasions.

As stated in haley's august 8th post this requirement for immediate payment would be optional, up to the seller. Therefore those of you who do not see the benefit of immediate payment dont have to use it.

Here's a suggestion, while Gazza & pals are working on it:

List your items and put a big notice on each listing, saying "IMMEDIATE PAYMENT REQUIRED".

Then, sit at your computer and wait for sales.

If a buyer doesn't pay immediately, or within a few seconds, cancel the sale.
That will sort out those nasty late payers!!!

Seems like an excellent recipe to drive buyers away from eBid.
