I will try till after Xmas and then move on, If my listings are not showing as they are on the other site then whats the point?? Even my newly built website is showing hits via google, If I can do it so can Ebid :-(

I really am pushing ebid every day but they need to do more, if they can advertise on the tv in Canada then why not here?

I am working on something which may help - in the early stages at the moment but so far I have managed to put whatever listing I have used as a test onto page 3 or above on Google organic (in this case google.co.uk)

If I did a little test on that spark plug catalogue and it managed to get onto page 3 or above, would that be better for you? Also, can you assure me that you have EXEMPT where the isbn should go when you listed this.

No guarantees it will appear on page 3 or above but I would be interested to have a go.

On the Bristol chassis item - can you alter the title to include the extra keywords as provided by Squern and I will have a go at that one as well, that should be really easy!.


What I am trying to do at the moment is find listings where this process won't work.

Why don't BIN show up on google and why does the 7-10 day auction make a difference

To get your items onto Google, a BIN is needed or either a auction price with BIN included
Listings that are listed as RUS are found at the bottom of the ebid searches, less chance of being found
Listings with e.g 7 to 10 day duration with a auto relist x 10 would regurlarly work their way up the searches.

Didn't make Page 3 but it did make Page 4 on Google Organic.... on GS it is at No.2 on the first page. Both of those are based on the keywords ac delco spark plugs catalogue.

If you get the keyword changes to the bristol chassis item done, then I may be able to get that on page 1 or 2 on Google Organic (based on a likely search string).

Your item won't have a barcode, so you need to put "Exempt" in the place for it in the listing. You also need something in the "Brand" section.
You can put "unbranded", but I usually put "Vintage" because Google seems to pick that up.

The Run until Sold puts the listings at the bottom of the pile (I don't know why), but a timed listing keeps coming to the top.
The folklore is that 7-10 days, reposting, is best. I like to set mine to odd times ( 6 days 12 hours, or 7 days 15hrs, for instance, or even 8 days and 3 hours, whatever), so that the reposts don't keep ending at the same time.

You have to consider the different time zones in the world. If something kept ending at 3 am in California, for instance, you are limiting your possibilities - better to spread your options.

I would urge you to be patient - it does take time to get going. It's a different set-up to the Bay, and it's getting better all the time.
