    Default Attracting buyers

There has been much discussion on another thread about the excellent article by Kreativebargains on the Tamebay website. This discussion has concentrated almost entirely on how good eBid as a site for sellers. Fair enough, this is Tamebay's remit.
Does anyone know of a site similar to Tamebay which concentrates on buyers? An article on such a site could help eBid grow.

The main way eBid is attracting the buyers, or at least the way I attract them is through Google and Google Shopping. And today has seen my highest number of visitors already with an hours worth still to add on. While most people who use the forums will make the most of this exposure there are literally millions of listings that do not. That is costing the sellers sales, eBid income and reducing the number of potential buyers who see the word eBid.

Without wanting to sound like "polly parrot", i have to reinforce what has already been said regarding the importance of Google shopping, almost every buyer that i have the good fortune of dealing with are newly registered, and there can be only one place where these people are coming from.
I have also been informed by a couple of new buyers that it was Google shopping that brought them to Ebid. It's easy to overlook that Ebid listings will appear within regular Google web searches as well as Google images, so Google do actually offer a 3 way route for a new buyer to arrive here.

Here is the main problem, I have listed on ebid and the other site a very rare item that is very hard to find. It was listed the same day on both sites. The search results show it clearly at the top on the other site but no where to be seen is ebid

If customers cannot see it, they cannot buy it. This site needs some serious promotion.
    ?
What am I doing? Every item I list is shown on Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter and facebook to help visibility, but ebid needs to do more!! That item should show up on google but it does not, why not?? If that one with its rarity is not showing, what chance for the other items I list?

    So

    1. Ebid is excellent for listing items at low cost
    2. Ebid has Google Shopping to drive buyers to listed items
    3. Other forms of promotion, Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter enhance Ebid
    4. Even with these extra forms of promotion, Ebid does not match another auction site.

You have it listed as Run Until Sold.
You would do better to list it as a 7-10 day auction, with BIN, and have it repost automatically.
That will get it to the top of the listings.

If you include "truck" and/or "lorry" (and possibly "vintage", classic", "vehicle") in the title, you would increase the relevant key words

    Thanks Squern

Why don't BIN show up on google and why does the 7-10 day auction make a difference

I know all the arguments about Google and social media.
What I was wondering was "Is there a buyers' equivalent to Tamebay?"

For Canadian sellers Google Shopping does not apply .... just in case there are any Canadians reading ...

But we need our listings to show up on a general Google (organic) search.
