    Thumbs down adult category

It would be much better to have a category saying ADULT instead of anything else. I have advertised under this silly, anything else category and not had one order.
I am getting quite disappointed as when i did advertise on ebay, (yes i know i am not supposed to advertise adult ) but i did sell a few items.

    I await your comments
    thanks

I agree. The Adult category is invisible.

Since it includes (because of U.K. law) relatively innocuous items such as Playboy and Penthouse magazines, no one can find them without going through multiple steps to get the search directly into the Whatever's Left/Adult category. Of course, many new U.S. sellers innocently list them in "Men's Magazines" penalizing those of us who obey the rules.

This is a huge potential market. I find many "adult" items in mainstream mail order cataloges, and no one lifts an eyebrow.

I agree that there should be a separate "adult" category instead of hiding it where it is difficult to find as despite what some folk think, there is a huge market for such items, magazines etc. that are now collectibles in their own right.

No one bats an eye lid when seeing Ann Summers online or other "shops" selling such items online via their own website so there shouldn't be such a stigma attached to "adult" items on an auction site. People will no doubt come out with the yawn-a-thon argument that kids (under 18's) might see such things - they see such things anyway - Ann Summers (and others) website is visible to everyone regardless of age so kids can view items there - kids under the age of 18 have access to porn on the internet anyway (where you do not even need to provide proof of age) and via other sources and magazine/pictures I have seen on eBid from time to time are tame compared to what the kids are seeing these days in computer games/films/tv.
