Unfortunately hardly any sellers on here are using the numerous ebid pages on facebook and only a handful are using Pinterest which is incredibly popular. Most people I know are on facebook...not sitting on it all day, but logging on in the evening to catch up with friends , shop and see what's new in current trends and retail. Most businesses now have a facebook page and boards on Pinterest. I think it is definitely in your interest to get involved, it requires very little time and effort and could reap rewards :-)

Ahmmm! ATM, you can get 20 Buddy points by joining each of the 4 social sites eBid have a presence at. A total of 80 free buddy points folks!

Go to Dashboard> My Options> My Social Networks.

The more we get the eBid word & links out there the better in my book!

Got a zero feedback buyer today i shall ask her how she found my item/this site

Maybe we all should ask any zero feedback buyers how they located items on ebid

I use Google Analytics and I have noticed an increase in views coming from Pinterest posts. I have also started promoting eBid on Facebook although I have not been a regular social user of Facebook in the past, but, I believe that this is the way forward to make more people aware of eBid.

I use Google Analytics too and nearly 20% of my referral traffic has come from Pinterest.

It's given me sales and 20 buddy points - and helps get the eBid name out there.

I'm no techy but have found it soo easy to use

It needs to go in each of your listings that you want to track

You can also add it to your selling defaults so all new listings will have it.

I also use statcounter, I find it easier to understand.

The link is here ..... I had some help with it 'cos I'm not techy ....they give you a html code to put onto your listings, I did it using bulk edit ... the snag with that is ebid put 'added by seller and date' in the description ...... I think eBid user Jimbo then produced another html code which you can use to get rid of the 'added by ...' bit.

Perhaps other users can guide you through it better than me lol!

    I still don't know?
With facebook you have privacy settings. When you log in, in the top right corner there is a tool icon like you have on your browser. there is a section called "who can see my stuff" so you can check what can be seen by whom. You can adjust your privacy settings on everything...usually the default is public, so if you want your friends only to see what you post you can opt for that for each thing that you do on there. If you "like" a public page like the ebid pages, everything you post will be public (viewable to everyone) and you can make posts on their page linking to your about me page or auction listings and will get updates on your feed when anything is posted on those pages. It takes about half an hour to go through everything and adjust your settings...you need to do it for any photo albums you have stored as well...I have some of mine viewable to me only. Hope this helps :-)

Go to the google analytics site and sign in to your account, you will find the info in there.
