Thread: New to Ebid

  1. #1

    Default New to Ebid

I have about 1100 listings on Ebid transfered from Ebay. In last 4-5 days, i have hardly had a visit and no emails with questions etc, which i get everyday on Ebay. What am i doing wrong. I sell Formula Power ignition leads and Fuel cat pre combustion fuel catalyst.
    Any ideas gratefuly received.
    Thanks Philip

    Hi Philip

I'll try and give you a couple of tips to get you started:

The site software is doing some drastic things to your auction titles - no-one will find you on any searches!
    Ford-Focus-ST170-C-M ax-Mo ndeo-8mm-Performance -HT-P lug-

Take out the hyphens, or if you must use them, leave spaces on either side.

Shorten your listing run times, 7>10 Days with an auto re-post of 10 seems to be the optimum running time for Google searches and visibility.

Open your free stores - they are not "extras" like feebay - just your own personal categories to showcase your products.

I'm sure there will be lots more positive advice heading your way.

    All the best!

    Ditto what Yvonne said.

Also you have no profile added on your About Me page and no picture/logo of your business. Let people know who you are and what your business policies are. When I started here I bought a few small items to get rid of the low feedback score, it's up to you if you want to do that to get you started.

Promote your new shop to your ebay/other customers by using leaflets.

Join social network sites and promote your new shop here. It takes more effort to get sales here but when it takes off you will be paying far less in fees than you would elsewhere. Keep the chin up. I'm sure others will chime in here as well.

I agree with what has already been said. Do put a bit on your about me page about returning otherwise it looks like you have been here since 2006 with no sales and buyers are going to wonder why !

Make sure you have bar code numbers in your listings or if they don't have codes write 'EXEMPT' on the box. Lots of our sales here come in via Google. You cannot expect instant results here like on the other side as it is a smaller site, you have to do a bit of work to get yourself established.

I need help. Anyone looking to make a few extra pounds, in their spare time and know their way around Ebid and also would help if you know anything about cars. Nearly all my listings 1100 need some sort of alteration and can not be done in bulk. Also shop needs filled up etc.
    Thanks Philip

Check your about me page again. It says

"Both i have been selling for many years now" and I am sure that "both" should not be there. Personally I would capitalise the "I"s too.

Not being difficult, just trying to help.
