its a pity we cant change them ourselves
Agree with Sucadot...some of the cover pictures are total horrors and give a bad impression of the site. We need clear, bright attractive cover pics updated at intervals to highlight current trends or seasons.
My vote is for an Ephemera board for postcards, old photographs, old programmes & tickets etc...this leaves collectibles free for things like brand name collectibles, keyrings, enamel badges etc etc so they can shine without being swamped with postcards.
Stamps should only be pinned onto the stamps board
I personally think old photographs should not be placed on the photography boards-as a customer I would expect photography to be mostly for photographic equipment and supplies. Likewise I would not expect sporting goods to contain ephemera or art to contain stamps or postcards.
Purplestevie...can you imagine if we could change things ourselves? Lol...it would be a freeforall :-)
agree with everything you said
Hi Dean & support team. As purplestevie said on another thread.
How about adding a Pinterest link to the Home Page, like the google & Facebook links?
Something that stands out.
Cheers.

Suggestion re ebid pinterest boards
I upload a lot of items every week and the 5 pins per board isnt working for me because people dont seem to be pinning enough so at the present rate of pinning im going to have to wait too long before i can pin again.
I have been pinning everything i list. I want to support ebid so my first choice of boards to pin on need to be ebid boards.
So i thought for myself and anyone else that wants to pin a lot of items all in one go how about an ebid guest board for any ebid seller that requests it that way im/we are not clogging up the main boards with our stuff.
Also one downside of pinning for others means if they sell one of those items they cannot remove it from the board themselves.
eg my red white and blue slides on vintage fashion which i didnt pin have now been sold.
I am at the moment trying to pin on the the too few relevant ebid boards the 2 ebid boards set up by individuals and my own boards.
I get the 5 pins and wait 5 but its not working for me and im now wondering whether just to pin on my own private boards.
there is no reason why you cant pin more than 5 at a time to our boards.
Dean
The main pinners have agreed this
eg
Crafts board
you can pin 5 items then wait until another seller/sellers have pinned 5 items then i could pin 5 more etc etc. This is so that people with very few items get a chance of their items being at the top.
As everyone knows i list new items regularly and pin everything i list so it would mean that i would be swamping the board with my stuff. i could list 20 to 40 items all at once. My suggestion for a guest board was for people like me who list large qtys regularly. I havent the time to check if its ok for me to pin on any given board all the time and in any case at the moment i dont have enough ebid boards that suit my items.
While this is true, it seems to be a convention by some (not all) & unenforceable in any event most likely?
Following the above convention however, does seem to be fair for those with less listings.
That's 5 pins per appropriate board in every 24 hours ( or every 5 intervening pins) & along the lines of the "Plug" thread. IMO
Obviously, the more members we get joining & pinning, the less wait we'll have for intervening pins.
This is the current position I subscribe to, except for personal boards where I pin when & whatever amount I like.
The question of re- pinning other peoples listings that then sell shouldn't be a concern, as I've read that the links to those items are broken, & in any event, would remain as advertising drawcards back to eBid?
For Dean & Team - From the Pinterest email - has any thought been given to the eventual introduction of fees being added on business related pins? Perhaps some form of limits may then need applying? Assuming eBid will pay the fees? Just thinking out loud.
