new members from my link

I know several people have joined ebid from the link I sent them but I have not had the points, do they have to put in my username in the form when joining or should it just be from using my link.

thanks, another point has just popped up so maybe there is a little delay but it seems that I get points for about 1 in 3 who say they joined but maybe they got here another way or did not join

There's no way to know if that is the case, or if the link system is flaky.
