Far East sales boom for stamps

Just read an article about Stanley Gibbons, and their sales are up due to increased sales in the Far East. They have even opened offices in Singapore and Hong Kong due to the demand.

One other interesting thing in the article is that are moving into the online market, with buyers able to bid against each other for rare stamps and medals.

I have enjoyed good sales in Far East stamps for the last couple of years, especially Malaysia and Hong Kong; these areas seem to really appeal to collectors, maybe a bit of follow on from the surge in interest in Chinese stamps.
I don't think Gibbons online auctions will affect most 'mere mortal' collectors, more for the very rich and investors. But its nice to dream!
