The answer is pretty simple, pricing.

Why should I shop on here if prices are higher than eBay despite sellers paying lower fees?

10 ounce NTR silver bar on eBay (from private seller): $253.45 with free shipping
10 ounce NTR silver bar on eBid (also from private seller): $350.00 + $3.00 shipping

I also looked at a new DVD set:

    eBid: 29.95
    eBay: 18.60

I'll be happy to do all my buying on this site but not if I have to pay a huge premium to do so. Logic dictates that lower fees = lower prices, but that is not happening here.

eBid doesn't need to do any advertising.

Do you think eBay had ads when they started?

Show me lower prices and I'll show you traffic.

Well said, nor did Facebook or Pinterest.

But do you mean lower fees or lower selling prices ?
And where is this traffic that you speak of?

People can always make an offer by contacting the seller. Why don't people do that. I would consider offers on anything as long as they are reasonable. They may do well to do that

You've been here nearly 5 years. Have you never seen threads here proposing ebid use tv ads, followed by reality checks about the astronomic cost of tv ads?
