20sent has a point, though it is appreciated that involvement confers some sort of commitment, it may not always mean that it confers credibility....

Beagán a rá agus é a rá go maith comes to mind...

So, too, the katyushine postage habit. On Big Creepy Site, one poster with bushels of verbage behind him noted that the dissenters to yet another fee had post counts in the single digits. So they aren't credible, maybe, over there.

And while it's the online norm, that "newbie" term is positively poopie in its cutsieness. Eeeeewwwwwwwww.

But that's elsewhere.

In light of the positive spirit of this site, as well its uniqueness, I suggest consideration of the following concepts to encourage thoughtful (if not abundant) posting, in a general consistency with what seems to actually play out on other boards relevant to the amount of literature generated:

Level Number of Posts

Je Ne Sais Quoi 0 to .99
Tastefully Understated : 1 to 49
Enthusiastic : 50 to 399
Looks Proper Atop Soapbox : 400 to 1,499
Ear/Eye Protection Required : 1,500 to 2,999
Consider for Sainthood After Stakehood : 3,000 & Over

By which measure 20sent figures as a very respectable Enthusiast. Sainthood may not be all it's cracked up to be, considering how folks often get there...

The Titles - "Newbie" could be more appropriately changed to - Immigrant - as most have moved other sites to here.

"Forum Lurker" may even sound culturally offensive to some, call it "The Ambitious"

"Die Hard" is really obnoxious' in my opinion and does not translate well in other languages unless they are Bruce Willis fans - call it "Architects"

The other two seem to be in the comfort Zone but a good poll might show up some better Titles.

"Saint" might be inappropriate as some so-called saints repeatedly post irrelevant posts.
To be serious, why do we need these terms. If anyone is interested in the status of a poster, all they need to do is look at the number of posts against their names. Why not do away with the titles??

The "Saint" may also not go down well with all and as for the repeated posts, that it is just an individuals effort.

These 'Status Titles' should really be seen as a fun title and should reflect a jovial expression not to be taken serious or equate to status at all.

Another Forum I frequently visit calls them "Moods" and lets the member pick a choice of maybe 20 different 'moods'. These are in colour, fun and neutral titled and can be selected via ones profile and changed.

Lets face it - bottom line - who cares !?

It is a Forum, respecting the rules, not being too serious and keeping the fun on the enjoyable level.
