I set my sales to all countries in the drop down. Clicked unknown ship cost. Posted "we can figure it and go from there".
my views tripled in minutes! I don't know if I did it right. Need to ask my UK eBuds to look for me. I hope it's all good. Boy what a pick me up! Now I know where all the customers are. It is just slow starting here because ppl auto go to that other place out of not knowing better. For now I am feeling Yippie! So the ship cost formula is...UK cost-US included= total. I hear there are more complications but maybe it will be fun? Anyone have a kind of average like..2Xs 3Xs the cost? Great day to all

No. eBid will be great when it has as many European members pro rata as UK ones. For a UK site Europe is more relevant.

Well…if you go trough USA consumers market and top of that most of sellers is from that market in my opinion you’re really no need much rest of the Europe….

I mean you can put all together Euro countries vs USA consumers market and what is available in here for sale day by day (and that is important because new generation and other generation of the buyers exactly buying daily these stuff which is most available for sale from USA sellers and various companies)…..you can put all vs USA and it will come up short…..

Focus on USA consumer market a most and try to go trough on that market….everything else after that it will become easy….

Dzambo, you are so smart. I have never looked at broad numbers or anything but my own opinion has always been that Americans are the world's biggest consumers. As you point out there are simply more of us than in Europe but as far as I have always heard, "you can sell us American's anything" lol. As for my own selling experience I have always been willing to sell overseas but most of my customers (on ebid and from other site) are from right here in the good ol' USA so getting ebid known here is important.

go to usps.gov and spend a little time doing some research on the cost to ship to different countries. I have found shipping overseas to be the same to most countries. What I do is see how much my item will cost to go to Austrailia (usually the most expensive) and set my world wide shipping price to that. I have been doing that for years and it seems to work out just fine. Hate that overseas shipping seemed to just go through the roof this spring though really puts a hurt in the online market.

Oh yeah almost forgot, on the post office website they like to "hide" the cheapest shipping options and highlight most expensive. When you look up a price there will be other options to click right below the outrageous make you fall off your chair ones they show you.

Congrats on your increased views, kudos! I've always offered worldwide shipping as a good 50% or more of my customers are from outside the U.S.. Agree with Titanic, the USPS overseas shipping costs have really skyrocketed in recent times, wish they'd get real when it comes to their prices.

Yes I think Dzambo is right.

It would be best for ebid to focus on the US market as its bigger
And they speak English which makes marketing and communication easier.
(You can also tack on Canada for an extra 30 million people)

Europe is a large market but it is split into many languages.
