Thread: Impressive

    Thumbs up Impressive

If this was in an update then I completely missed it ???

This is about Google.com/.co.uk (no comments about GS please - that is being discussed on other threads!)

The Google search engine is full of dead ends and always has been for all sites, not just eBid - keyword searching there often brings up an old finished listing that has since been re-listed. Depending on your log-in status the closed listing either provided no info on the re-listed item number or did provide a new item number that could hardly be seen because the type was too small.

So I was going to come up with a suggestion to overcome it...... no need - they have already done it (and it is much better than I would have suggested)!

    So this is what happens...

Buyer searches using keywords - Google brings up an eBid listing for them, but it is an old one which has since been re-listed under a different listing number. When they click on the old eBid item it opens with the listing darkened into the background and up pops a very clear message with the details of the new listing.

Very impressed with that - good job done!

(although could you guys make the 'view the new listing' slightly bigger compared to the rest and in bold please )

Excellent. It is really annoying when you find an item and the listing is closed, this keeps the opportunity open of making the sale.

Gazza posted something about this the other day..can't seem to locate at the moment. Anyways, he said that beginning this week, if our listings are auto re-listed this notice will show up redirecting the potential buyer to the new URL link....NICE!

I missed it too - especially after most of my listings that showed up were closed ones ; a definite improvement thanks to eBid effort
