I will be able to take part this month after all. I will get home on the 26th and my nephew is going to turn my listings back on on the 24th at silly o'clock so after all the panic i can run my items.

Just talked with one of my daughters last night......hundreds of homes have burned in CO, and there are more fires burning. They expect the one by Colorado Springs to be contained by this weekend. Royal Gorge was burned, and lots of the tourist buildings there, as well as the fire going halfway across the bridge that goes across the gorge, and the tram. Fires in Rocky Mt National PArk, also down by Wolf Creek Pass (remember the trucking song??)....she said the southern part of the state is much drier than up north. I know there will be a lot of families that appreciate all the Red Cross help now, and as it continues helping in the future.

Oh wow Her Majesty, how sad. My late aunt lived in Colorado (near Denver) and every time they show the fires on the news it makes me feel bad. I'm glad to be participating in YDC, can't do a lot at the moment for lack of $, but as my grandfather used to say, every little bit helps...

I have done a bit of shopping for the mystery parcel today. I am not sure I'll be able to get the Marzipan requested, as there isn't much around in the summer. But I will Keep trying

Don't stress about it meebo......you are supposed to be relaxing and enjoying your visit!! We will have plenty to fight over.......I mean bid on...without marzipan!! xo

Thank You for looking meebo. Please don't worry about it ~ I won't cry (well, not in front of you!) ~ I will have something to look forward to in another YDC when Marzipan is back in season.
It's much more important that you have a good time and a good rest.
