    Default store or no store

    Hi all,

Im a new seller though i joined about a year ago. I was thinking of opening a store, but not sure if it actually helps with sales.

Can store owners let me know the pros and cons of it. Plus, how is traffic to your store. Is it mostly from the actions or the actual store?

    Hello

    A store is absolutely vital.

Links all your items together making it easier for buyers to navigate around.
You can categorize your store, again it makes it much easier for buyers to navigate.
A store gives you a far greater seller identity.
It is free - you can have 5 stores if you really need to.

Buyers usually arrive via the listing - but if you have a store they are likely to browse other items within the store once they arrive. There are a percentage of buyers who would go by the store list to browse so that gives you more exposure.

The clearest comment I can make is: If you don't have a store there is a good chance that the potential buyer will end up in a store provided by another seller.

    There are no cons......

However.......... the items that I can see you have are digital downloads and not a physical product.

Agree with Dean re: the ease of sorting items, plus the incentive for buyers to search for other listings within your store if they see something they like. As a buyer, I tend to search stores if I like what I see in a listing, on the assumption that the seller may have more items I'm interested in.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

    Opening a store in eBid

Pros: privilege to sell what you want, zero or really low seller fees

Cons: low sales, lack of traffic

Everything listed in a store is also listed automatically on the general ebid search list

You have run until sold listings.

Interesting listings...... A bun ? Not exactly sure someone is going to pay $3.50 (includes $2.00 postage) for a bun they can probably buy in 7-Eleven for $1.29.

I could say all sorts of about the keywords in the title's - but for the life of me I can't imagine anyone searching online to purchase 1 bun.

And there are only pros to having a shop.

Store is a good idea to have.

I would also check the delivery restrictions for the countries you are trying to sell to as they prohibit food and drink through the post, especially pressurized cans!

Yes I know you do and you are a good seller.

A store could increase those sales, makes it easier for buyers to navigate around your listings, provides a focal point for return custom and increases the percentage of buyers making multiple purchases.

Having a shop can only increase sales - it can't decrease them.

I love a good store. If I am searching for an item and I notice that the seller has a shop I am in, looking for anything else that may be of interest.
I know for a fact that may of the sales I make online are due to a store, that's here, my own, or on the other side.
