Unless I've totally misread the op then we're talking about two separate listings for one postcard. So if two different people bid on each auction, one will be disappointed.

I left one duplicate as an example so that the grown-ups can see what has happened here - I deleted all the others

Maybe not - but as I undstand it, duplicates are not allowed - and besides - I only have a single postcard for sale, not two

The whole point of mentioning this is that there is a glitch in the 'repost' system that allows this to happen in the first place.

It is useful for me though as I like to space my listings out with the timer so they don't all end at the same time. I don't use the tick box and use the proper repost button so I spot the message if I am about to make an error with reposting twice.
Strange - I don't see that message - either in the unsold listings or and individual item listing if I select repost -

It has happened to me on occasions too.

    - both same item - whoops!

I did wonder at the time if they were checked or not - just as well I checked....
    - just re-checked all my 1000+ listings and I found that I had many duplicated items - some had been on for some time now - all (except example above) have now been deleted - should have been picked up before.........

If you repost a listing and then go back to it to try and repost it again in your unsold section you should see the message. It's just below the purple repost button, in tiny letters, saying when it was reposted and giving the new item number.
