    Default Cerealmunkee why dont you

    Munkee

Where did everyone go just as I was about to post a suggestion

Why not add vintage as a keyword to some of your knitting patterns, some of them are obviously old?

I was searching for the other thread that was going on....where has it gone?, this happens too often and you start questioning is there any point in throwing suggestions and opinions about here?
As for the knitting patterns .... to be honest, i don't know a lot about these and had assumed that whether they were old or more recent would be relevant to any search, certainly has got me thinking.

There are people that collect patterns
    and
There are people that use the patterns

Vintage does seem to matter in this case ... it also gives some idea of the type of style if you know the pattern date.

    Munkee
IMO adding vintage to the old patterns is a must.
Some people will be looking specifically for specific era,s e.g 1970 or 1940 they will not want to plow through tons of other eras or modern patterns in searches. If for example the potential buyer is looking for a sweater pattern from the 1970 they will put the keywords vintage 1970 sweater pattern into the search or vintage knitting pattern if they are looking for vintage patterns in general covering all eras
    Just a suggestion

Well....thanks very much for sharing your knowledge, here is me assuming that a knitting pattern is only a knitting pattern, what i'm going to do is trawl through he few that i have listed and adapt the listing and hopefully this may focus some buyers who are looking for something from a specific era.

AS already said, it's a good idea to put vintage in your title and descriptions for old patterns, also some people collect by brand names so that is also a good thing to put in along with any catalogue numbers. Feel free to take a look at my items for ideas.
