Thread: You're Never to Old to Adapt and Overcome

  1. #1

Default You're Never to Old to Adapt and Overcome

I might seem presumptuous. And the Mrs is surprised I could spell that. But are there some sellers out there that are not accustom to Social Networking or Internet Advertising? I myself am a fledgling to this new prerequisite to the net and with the help of a lovely Mrs. I'm staying a little on top.

But I have seen some uncertainties with some postings about this sites popularity on the internet highway and I've got to say that I'm a little confused. As I've said before in a previous post I'm 56 and I keep up with the changes of the eCommerce business on the net. I'm not an expert, but I try to keep up. I see the new style of buying and selling that's going on. When I look at my results of traffic from my server, I'm surprised at the number of hits I received from mobile searches for my site or auctions.

So what's this all about you ask? If there are some folks that are not comfortable or do not have the understanding about Network Advertisement. Maybe eBid can entertain the idea of putting in a help section, besides the Facebook Help section. Granted posting on eBids Facebook is a good thing, but every seller needs to go further. So can a forum or help page be dedicated to the "new" and forgive me for saying "old" sellers about how to set up a Facebook account, adding a like page, and adding a eBid page to their Facebook and so on? If and when these sellers realize that this will open doors to a larger buyers market, they might feel a little more comfortable and go to other social networks and expand. This will not only benefit themselves but eBid as well.

I know I'm reaching for the stars, but that's the engineer in me. I would volunteer, but I figured that there are a lot of others out there that can spell better, have a better grasp of grammar, and are a lot more patience. I think this will help a generation from where I dwell from, be a little more at ease with the idea of going social.

    Just a thought

As another oldie I would certainly find this suggestion very useful. I have a facebook account but can't even manage to change my profile picture!
I need instructions in none technical terms which I can print out and then follow it step by step.
    That would be fantastic!

Don't say that to loud. If my Mrs found out I was right about anything, my life would be in danger!

Thanks for the support of the idea.

I think any instructions put here on such topics would be beneficial.

No problem with the link here Madeline so Thank you. I'll have another read on Monday as it's good weather forecast for this weekend so I'll be in the garden, well maybe.

Securi Check website scanner "says it is a clean site", and my virus scanner passes it also.

I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security. It's a picky little darling.

I use Trend, it too can be very aggresive at stopping visits to certain websites. If I am at all dubious about a site, I first run the address through securi check.
