Anyone tried domain redirect?

Has anyone bought a website domain name (IE www.yourdomainname.com) and had it redirect to one of their stores? I wonder if this is actually allowed, and if it would help anyone that currently runs a store...I myself have contemplated it, as it's easy to have someone remember a quick URL as opposed to your-store-name.ebid.net

Awesome, now to find a domain to use for Ebid. Hmmmm. Thanks for the input, now if I can go over my listings and see what needs to change, I'll be happy to start really selling.
