The workings of google baffle me also.

I spent a lot of time splitting my items with no ISBN & the with ISBN items, seperating them into different shops

Could the fact that I have not yet added any items without the ISBN to the shop in question have something to do with it?
I wish I could give you a clear answer Trina ... but I would refer back to Astral's reply at 12.58 - Google shouldn't be emailing you.

In the email posted in #5 it states I have an exemption but it does not show the exemption alongside the GSID details for the shop.
    Am I missing something?
    Exemption Application Instructions

    A. If your items are listed within an eBid Store then you will be applying for exemption for your eBid Store and not your username.
    1. Locate the GSIN number located on your "My eBid" > "My eBid Stores" page. It is in small grey text just below the "Summary" section.
    B. If your items are not listed within an eBid Store then you will be applying for exemption for your eBid Username.
    1. Locate the GSIN number located on your "My eBid" > "My Personal Details" page. It is in small grey text at the bottom of the form.
    A and B.
    2. Visit http://www.google.com/support/mercha...e_id_exemption.
    3. Enter your name.
    4. Enter google.exemption@ebid.net as the login email address.
    5. Enter your GSIN number into the Account ID box. The URL box can be ignored.
    6. Enter some information as to why the items in your eBid Store do not or cannot have barcodes. Are they vintage, collectables, home made? Give an example link to some products in your Store.
If Google has emailed you regarding the exemption then you must have given your email address at #4 above and not eBid's. Therefore, rather than notify eBid of the granting of the exemption they have notified you. That means that eBid are totally unaware that the exemption has been granted and so cannot update your account and start feeding your items to Google Products.

Better or different. As long as the problem is resolved it doesn't matter.

I don't know if admin can fix it from the existing email, or if the OP will have to re-apply correctly so eBid gets a direct email from Google.

I think you & MP are correct

Should of waited to apply for the exemption after a good sleep, not after a bad nights sleep.

Will see if I can sort it out by forwarding the email to ebid next week.

I couldn't get a Google exemption for my vintage books and I'm tired of dealing with Google. I had Google check out listed as an option for payment and now want to take it off. Can I do that in bulk or can I just put a message on all my listings that I do not accept Google check out even it it's checked on the listing?

    Did they give a reason?

You can remove Google as a payment option using Bulk Edit. While not a problematic edit it is still wise to ensure you have a backup of your current data before doing a Bulk Edit - there is no facility to roll-back if things go wrong.

Thanks, I'll just gradually take them off and make a notation at the top that I no longer accept Google Checkout. The reason is that they won't accept the URL. It doesn't verify and I'm tired of dealing with it. I've been through all the how-to's and they don't make sense to me.

I did it. I loaded all our listings into the bulk editor, and entered the payment options leaving Google Checkout behind. Takes a while for the system to process, but it worked fine.
