    Default Google exemption question

    Hi

I have applied for a google exemption on my vintage store.
Recieved an email stating the exemption as been approved, yet the exemption does not show as approved under the shop concerned.

Is there anything else I need to do, as inform ebid?

My eBid Store > Choose Store to Configure >

scroll down a little to section: eBid Store Summary

Look to your right below the blue Delete Store button

It will say something in very small grey text like:

    GSID : 5830528 (exempt from 14 Mar 2013)

Vintage means vintage. You are also asking for exemption for items stated as new in the same store. Unless all items are vintage and don't have the barcode then that maybe the reason the store isn't getting exemption.

For instance, if you request exemption on a store that holds old books (no ISBN) and new books (with ISBN) Google will not approve.

Also, when I requested exemption I never received an email so please put post the reply from Google stating 'exemption approved' as it may help many other members.

    Thanks for the replies

Below is the email I recieved. I have starred out any indentifiers e.g names etc

    Hello,
Thank you for requesting an exemption for unique product identifiers. We're sending this email to inform you that your exemption has been approved on account ID 5****** Your items will not be affected by this requirement. However, items may continue to be flagged in the data quality tab even after your account is exempted from the unique product identifier requirement.

Additionally, please continue including valid unique product identifiers in your data feed for all items which have them.

    Best regards,

If Google sent you an email then you have not followed the correct procedure as at: http://uk.ebid.net/help_selling.php#48

My bookstore has a mixture of old (no ISBN) and new (with ISBN) and it has their exemption.

    Astral

In the email posted in #5 it states I have an exemption but it does not show the exemption alongside the GSID details for the shop.
    Am I missing something?

The workings of google baffle me also.

I spent a lot of time splitting my items with no ISBN & the with ISBN items, seperating them into different shops

Could the fact that I have not yet added any items without the ISBN to the shop in question have something to do with it?
