Ebid came in third

These survey are always very subjective.
We all know that ebid is the best auction site.
But comparing fees is very hard due to the fact that ebid has low fvf's but a high up front fee (so how can you factor that in?)

I was also very surprised that ebid only came 6th in Ina Steiners survey. That covers all auction and selling sites.
Her survey also has a question how profitable is the site for you?
Once again that is a hard question to answer.

One more category just missing….’’Traffic’’….
And that’s all that counts in the long run…
And that category gives orientation how is particular site serious and gives especially for the seller’s opportunity to make serious extra income…of course on average for all seller’s….

I've been actively listing here since May 2010.

Some sellers seem to be satisfied with the sales they are getting / or the fact that they see increases in the number of sales that they are getting.

eBid is a great site, in my opinion. I found it not too hard to learn to use. The support team is excellent. There are sellers on the forums here who are very helpful. Fees are very reasonable. If a person takes out the lifetime membership they get five stores.

But, there isn't the traffic here that the other side has, plain and simple.

I think that each seller needs to look at whether eBid will work into their own individual goals for selling on-line.

A lot of people come here, sick and tired of all that garbage at the bay, but then they expect eBid to be the bay without the high fees. It isn't.

We need more sellers and buyers here. We need good sellers who are willing to make an effort and help promote the site in whatever way they can. People who are in it for the long haul.

Well…I think peoples use this site but in my opinion better questions will be ‘’How many on average worldwide use this site like seller’s and buyers’’…
And from that information’s picture will be much clearer….
eBid exist more of 14 years and at least from that information’s you can see how much draw attention’s worldwide from own business model which is mostly relay on Google and from own members to promote eBid and own listing all around or in any way as members can…because you’re not paying listing fees in advance, you can have 5 free stores to open, low FVF, one time membership fee which is cheap because is only one time fee in lifetime, if this suits you go ahead I wish you good luck and good sales and that sales depend entirely on you how you can make it happen…

P.S. Probably other members can help you for many advices for about ‘’how you can make sales’’ in here in easy way…

of course people make sales on here, otherwise ebid would not still be going after 14 years and it would not have 5 million listings.

But it does not have as much traffic as say ebay ( but you knew that when you joined)

So you have to list lots and follow the advice on the forums.

No. OP is correct. Ebid is third. It is second in the list of ALTERNATIVES to E**Y

eBid looked like 2nd to me also, unless I read it wrong. Second or third place is not bad. I prefer eBid to the other alts, but WS does have some pretty strong features. Think the community support and forums of eBid are superior to any other venue.

P.S. Who came in 2nd then?

I see WS = 8.85 ; eBid = 8.00 ; OA =7.88 Did i read the results wrong?

As far as I am concerned eBid should be first. Goods sales, easy to use and, most importantly, a pleasant and enjoyable platform to buy and sell on.
