Thread: eBid App would boost traffic

Lightbulb eBid App would boost traffic

I saw a couple of postings about an app for eBid. It would be a great boost in traffic and the applications would not be with just smart phones, but also with new a growing markets of tablets and other mobile devices.

My personal website gets a lot of mobile traffic and this has help generate sales. It assists the bidder if they can't be at a computer to check on a auction they are watching. Most companies frown on personal time on their systems. And if a perspective buyer is running around, they can keep up with the listing they are interested in.

I think a poll is in order. Pass the word around!

Not sure why you are doing this poll ? Don't you read the eBid newsletter ?

Our first mobile app is in for review at the Apple App Store, fingers crossed on that one. We've heard they are pretty demanding. We've made the first version quite comprehensive, SELLER and SELLER+ will be able to list using it. Buying, bidding and offering on items is all included. All AAL functions are available. The only things we've left out are some fields on the listing form (UPC, sale length, start bid, video, sku, extras), listing using My Defaults is also not included yet. Loads more will be added into the next version, we needed to set an end point to development to finally get it released to the world.

Hurrah's for eBid. Looking forward to this app. My phone is to old but my Android tablet isn't. Kudos eBid!

Cool Re: eBid App would boost traffic

Ebid does need an app. I would have thought that a great percentage of brousing is done on mobiles now.

I was staggered when I say the percentages of mobile browsers on some major websites, such as Facebook, Craigs List, etc etc.

They are getting near to 50%!
And that percentage will only grow as more people get 3 and 4 G mobiles and developing countries get mobile more than landline based broadband.

Is there an Android (Google Play) app in development? Android phones are becoming more and more popular.

    Yes

Gazza has said the the Apple mobile App is in testing with Apple
Gazza has said they are working on an Android mobile App
Gazza has also said they are going to release an API at about the same time.

I think we are all looking forward to these being released.
