After reading the various posts about the YDC monthly auctions, I have a few questions. Hope this is this is the right place to ask them.
1. If I list an item for someone else's cause, how do I get them the money when the item sells? Notice I wrote "when" and not if!
2. Is the amout raised for charity the sale price less fvf less shipping costs? Or are we "donating" the fvf and shipping costs and sending the actually sale amount?
3. Where do we get the charity info? Do we just "cut and paste" it out of another auction?

There are probably other things I need to know, but that's all I can think to ask for now.

OK, I will try and answer
1) Sometimes there is a Just Giving page that can be used (I have one for the hospice I support), if using PayPal we use the gift option, so the charity gets more, or directly to the charity
2) If you donate the postage, that is entirely up to you. The FVF question has never come up before, but I guess that goes the same way
3) Copy and paste is always useful and for this month's nominated charity 'books' has all the info. You might well find it in post 1

If you want to donate directly to the charity concerned, you'll need to go to their website. They have things set up you can donate directly to them (I haven't found one yet that hasn't)

Often sellers ask buyers to paypal gift the money either to the seller, or to the charity. You don't need to do anything specifically with paypal prior to the sale. Some sellers collect the payments and forward them to the person who is handling the charity - like booksntings - or donate through a just giving page, or directly to the charity. There are lots of ways to do the payments.
