I hope it works better than the eBay app as I used one on my Android phone and it is totally rubbish....I won't be using it again.

I tried it out today and had to give it up as a bad loss and go back to my desktop

Personnally love both their iPhone & iPad apps but prefer the iPad one, only using the iPhone one when away from home.

No longer have a desktop & seem to use the laptop less every day, in fact somedays not using it at all.

This seems to be a bit of a trend amongst my friends as well.

Maybe ebid will get their mobile apps going, before the next new thing comes along !

    Good point

It should be easier for ebid to add and it could be made compatible with all phones and tablets with a browser, the ebid forum has this "MOBILE" style option we just need the eBid site to have it.

If you have a phone or tablet and use the ebid forum select the mobiles style from the drop down at the bottom of the forum.

As for the dedicated applications, if its not the best , bug free , never crashes , tested to death app and its not available for all top mobile devices then it could even have a negative affect on buyers and site rep.

I would rather the applications is first beta tested to death to find the bugs and GUI issues before they are put out to the masses (I have not heard about any beta testing program so that's unlikely , bit of a shame ), Last thing ebid wants is users destroying it with bad reviews/ratings if it has any bugs or missing features.

    Good Point.

    Look at the Ninja!
It took ebid YEARS to release it
And it was full of bugs and took a while for it to become reliable

But is it possible to test a mobile app without getting Apple's approval first, then ebid could let some forum users test it for a few months.

We really do need an update with regards to this app. wonders if the boyz would be kind enough to keep us updated?

What no signal for all mobiles or just no signal for iPhones.

Surely that's the various operators fault not the mobile makers fault.

This subject has been done to death resently.
Has anyone emailed ebid directlly and asked for an update rather then ask the boyz to comment on something they may be having dificulty with on a public forum?
the other thing that is a bit concerning is the amount of people wishing for larger more professional sellers to find ebid?
feebay was set up partly so the little guy or Joe Public could compete with the retail gaints what made feebay change was the retail gaints (big Professional sellers) being aloud on to ebay and then dictate what they wanted from ebay which help to squash the little guy so they were no longer a threat.

It all depends on what people want to buy online.

Do they want to buy ipod cases and batteries or postcards or antiques or books or DVD's ?

I think ebay wanted to get rid of the small sellers as they were costing them money to administer etc.

Have ebid said what sort of sellers they want ?
