    Default Ebid App

    hello

I know some people my think that a ebid app should be on another forum but i think that it would be a great way to get more people to notice the site. As more powerfull phones come in you will find more and more peoples access to the internet will be through mobile app gateways. Ebay is seen as the leader in auction sites and has a ok app which i reckon is on most peoples phone, my wife is looking at selling the jellery she makes and is looking at etsy which she found browsing through apples app center.

with a good app and the better fee structure and more freindly nature this could push ebid to really take on ebay and start getting its buyers and sellers.

They are testing the eBid app at the moment and hopefully it should be launched soon.

I cannot find any ebid app for android anywhere.

The iPhone app is with Apple now awaiting clearance. I am sure the Android version will not be too far behind, possibly awaiting clearance or not from Apple in case there is something needs changing.

Yes, and lets hope the API is not far away which may draw in some big proffesional sellers.

Definitely. An app would create more traffic for eBid!

How will big profession sellers joining eBid help everyone else? There is one stamp seller who operates from the Philipines who regularly swamps other auction sites with overpriced rubbish with the result that the items offered by an ordinary seller cannot be found. I understand that he uses API to allow him to do so. And no doubt there are and will be others.

You will always get these sellers on sites. They are certainly on eBay but I would happily have the sell through rate eBay can generate. With more sellers will come more exposure for eBid and more choice for buyers which should attract more of them to the site. Thankfully on eBid size does not matter, a seller with a million listings will be treated the same as a seller with one listing. I would welcome the big sellers with open arms and happily compete with them on an equal basis.
