Wanted: WWII wedding Postcards/Photos

Hi,
I am in my final year of a photography degree and working on a project inspired by my research at the Imperial War Museum. Apart from making my own photographs, I am also trying to collect photographs of wartime romances and weddings. Ideally, the image will show the groom or bride, or both, in uniform.

I am particularly interested in weddings which took place in the UK during WWII, or just after - so the period 1939 - 1945.

If any of you have any examples, please do get in touch.

If you send me a private message via eBid I can point you in the right direction to ask for, and receive photos of war bride weddings from war brides and their descendants. For about 8 years I researched War Brides, and I ran my own website relating to Warbrides (the only one at that time in the UK). I can direct you to the War Bride associations in USA, Canada and Holland as well as a researcher in Wales and a Canadian Warbride artist. I was also the host for the Rootsweb Warbrides list which I handed over to the owner of the USA Warbrides website.

I am also selling on eBid a Family History magazine which has an article about War Brides, contributed to by myself and the owner of the Canadian Warbride website.

I too took photographs with permission, at the Imperial War Museum when they had an exhibition. It is a very interesting subject to research.
