One reason that i still use Ebay to sell is because i use it to promote my activities on Ebid and i have enjoyed moderate success in attracting one or two buyers to come here.
I'm not entirely certain that Ebay really needs the assistance of any sellers to make it a troublesome and on the whole hit and miss selling venue, they are working towards this as a site themselves.

My advice is that all Ebid sellers should use Ebay to their advantage ....namely as a venue to promote this site and to spread the word that there is a growing and very viable alternative.

While that is the best way to use eBay, it also helps it to keep one of it's major strengths, the number of listings and the fact that if you look on there you generally find what you want. My own opinion is that the more sellers who totally ditch eBay and move their inventory to eBid the better. This will weaken eBay and strengthen eBid, and at the moment eBid needs to get those listings rising, certainly beyond the 10 million mark. Events like this can help, it might not be related to this but in clothing section for the UK a couple of large sellers have started up recently, this is a trend that needs to continue, it only does not take too many large sellers to make a big difference to the total, and the smaller sellers joining will boost it further. I certainly hope that this walk out has the desired effect.

Yes please do...................the damage they do to professional sellers is a disgrace, seem to be accountable to no one.....people should vote with their mouse and click "CLOSE EBAY ACCOUNT" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well…for that questions and answer I hope some of ours members who write in here daily can explain that ‘’mystery’’…
Because many members who write daily many other explanation and have ‘’always’’ answer for many other things or why this or why is that example and so on…
I am sure will give us explanation for that one too…
I like to hear ‘’real’’ answer……
Well...we are cheaper...we are better...we are more friendly for the seller's...we acceptin any form of payment...we have 5 free stores...so...in here is perfect set up for proffesional seller's......

Might not even be a need for a mass walkout, spoke to a few people just this week who are getting restrictions imposed on ebay and walking on their own accord.

No one in their right mind is going to boycott Ebay as a selling venue in favour of ebid......i say this with some regret, but on a happier note i have listed all of my items here rather than over there despite the dangling carrot of Ebay's free listing weekends.
Why have i done this?...it is clear to me that the route to Ebid id ultimately via Google search and the more that i list the more views / sales i attract.
I simply see no real point in listing 150 items over there for 7 days to end up selling not much of it, so i may as well put my efforts into Ebid and bring in new buyers.
I do miss including those "Check me out on Ebid "flyers that i always include in my Ebay packages, i do not however include "check me out on Ebay" flyers in my Ebid ones though as i wish to keep the buyers over here.

Why do we suffer from too few buyers?....i imagine it is the same answer to Why do we not have enough sellers?, i actually believe that internet shoppers are not too proactive and once drawn in by Ebay do not believe that there is a nice alternative site.
add to this the specialist sites that have popped up.
I stiil feel that sellers on Ebid should still view Ebay as a conduit to bring buyers to Ebid.
In the ideal world all efforts made here would result in a rapid growth spurt for Ebid, but i am convinced that this is not how Ebids growth will be achieved. to concentrate every last drop of effort on ebid only will not bring the results on its own.
