While this will almost certainly not have a major impact on either eBay or eBid, if it gets a few more moving over it will not do any harm. Sellers will pay the premium and put up with everything else as long as they get the sales. If the gap between those sales gets reduced, which in my opinion it is doing, then the need to have eBay as a main selling site will be reduced. We just need to keep chipping away at the number of listings and sales and more will see eBid as at least a good alternative venue to put some listings on.

eBay boycotts have been tried before, with no results.

My solution was to stop selling on eBay and move everything here. I haven't bought anything there for a long time, not because I'm boycotting them, but because either no one is selling what I'm looking for, or the prices are too high. If sellers actually find they can make a profit on eBay or Amazon, good for them, but it doesn't affect me anymore.

to be honest i never expected it to make any impact on sales on ebay etc, but more to raise awareness....i have had people message me saying they had never heard of ebid, and also they never knew ebay were like that with sellers...if it brings a few across then it will be a success....i'll be transfering all my products across tomorrow...hopefully more will follow.

Working on closing all feebay items and moving on over here to eBid! They ate what little profits I make and am tired of paying them for my work. Will be letting all my friends and associates know that this is the Place To Be in 2013.

Well done moving everything here, and I hope more do the same.

That is where the difference will be made. Every seller who moves their listings from eBay to eBid reduces choice on the bay and increases it here. One of eBid's weaknesses has been choice, and this might help to improve that situation.
