Very old Oil Painting with monogram AB dated 1887

Abandoned neglected and left to disintegrate one very old Oil Painting.
The signature or monogram on the bottom left, perhaps AB with a readable date of 1887 along side the monogram.
Bought at a local auction for a few pounds, returning to it’s former glory, the painting requires to be professionally cleaned, and of course reframed, at a cost of approx £120

From what I can see it is crude to put it kindly. Certainly not worth getting reframed and cleaned by a pro.

My advice would be either pick up an old frame at a boot and do it yourself or sell it how it is at a boot, you will make a profit but I doubt it will go for more than a score.

Had a decent stock of paintings by listed artists such as Jabez Bligh recently, in excellent condition and a great frame and they struggle to break £150-£200 so you would have to be really lucky to turn a huge some on such a speccy piece.
