Thanks Andy - I have following your posts and progress with great interest. At the moment I dont have the capital to move all my items over here and wait for the sales which I am sure will come. I am relying on making the 1-2 sales I make daily on the bay to keep my stock fresh and replenished. Hopefully as I move more and more items over I will be able to list and sell lots more here!

I have 5 stores and a vast range of goods, I have been selling across the range recently, with virtually all types of items now selling. My only store where sales are disappointing is books, but as I have fewer than 200 listed compared to the thousands many have I am not too surprised.

I don't think that is due to the number listed, kreative: I used to post around a dozen books every Monday morning on e.ay up to a couple of years ago. There has been a massive downturn in booksales for various reasons - B&M shops are closing all the time - including the biggies!
We have taken loads to Oxfam - but at least it will help buy a couple of wells in the Third World - and the local hospice shop has also made a good bit from the Gift Aided books.

well I got a lovely surprise last night when i logged on and found that i am no longer an ebid virgin ....
I only started listing a couple of days ago and logged on to find that I had sold two of our largest compressors....Never expected a big sale so quick so delighted.

As you gradually move more of your stock over you will get more sales on here. You will also be building your customer base on eBid which will help. In addition the general increase in sales on eBid and the mobile app when it arrives will also give your sales a boost. So all in all I look forward, as I am sure you do, to when eBay is a distant memory.

Woohoo ! I had 30 sales in January ( 25 ordinary and 5 charity) and have just had my first sale for February. It can only get better with the app and API on the horizon.

Just thought I would post an update. so far we are 7 days into feb and I have already had 6 sales so still going full steam ahead.
I have also moved one closer to the fabled 500 pure ebid feedback 4 more to go.
This week we have seen some posts on the forum again about lack of sales and asking for advise the way that these post have come across are a lot better worded and the titles come across in a better way then some of the past ones.

4 feedbacks today taking me to 274, all from eBid. Looking at joining the 500 club by the end of the year.

Had sales every day of February so far, but quite a few lower value for me. Had a buyer bought 2 items at £22 each yesterday and a buyer bought 6 items today worth over £100, but these are unpaid as yet, and yesterdays buyer has a strikethrough on their name. I am hoping that they have bought a few and eBid are asking them for proof of ID. For todays buyer I am hoping they were awaiting the invoice, which I quickly sent. If these items are paid for I will be on 17 sales worth over £300, without it will be 9 sales and just under £140.

Still on a sale or more a day. Value wise not as good as December and January, but selling is now more consistent.

After a force holiday/work emergency overseas I am now back so far this month have had 13 sales which seems to be about average for me for the last 3 months. Last three months have been between 10 to 25 sales per month. which is a great pick up for this time last year.
