I agree. I am one of these "Newbie" sellers and I feel that, yes there are some bad points but the good points far outweigh these. I would far rather sell on here. I used to a few years back and sold quite a lot of things but had to stop for personal reasons. I now am selling different things and hope to get back to where was before. I feel that this is a really good site and we have to keep plugging it. I do at least a dozen times a week on Twitter and Facebook. I think my friends are getting fed up with me. But this is what we have to do - SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!!!

Personally, I am glad to hear about the positives. There is a difference between being constructive / realistic and being negative. eBid is different than that other site. Some people come here thinking that they want something different than the site that must not be named. Then, when eBid isn't the same, they come to the boards for a good rant. Actually, most of those rants are bad, not good. Many aren't fair either, in my opinion.

I am just selling off things that hubby, and our parents and I have accumulated over the years, so my goals will (of course) be different than that of a business seller.

But, I do believe that a business seller could use eBid as part of their business plan.

I really am positive on the changes that I've seen the owners make over the past 2.5 or so years that I've been active here.

After a slow start to december just broke my duck with 3 sales 107 notes

Another 4 today, though none yesterday. Up to 25 in 6 days worth about £570.

It is good to see so many people reporting sales and some big one at that.
I have had no sales for a couple of days but have had another feedback thats one more to my target of 500 before 1st Jan 2013.

My unique visitor count has now broken new records every single month this year. Something happened last month in those figures which provided plenty of questions for me - if I can find the answer it would lead to a massive amount of exposure to eBid. I think I may have figured something out and some tests are under way. I love a challenge!

You know....i have noticed this as well, but can't offer a definite explanation.
I too see surges in views of my listings, the nearest reason i suspect is to do with Google shopping results...i am increasingly thinking that Google is like a lifeline to the outside world.
