Thread: glassine envelopes

Just thought I'd move this to the kitchen table, in case it would be more visible there.

I have not been successful in finding glassine envelopes, coin flips, banknote protectors ... any of that sort of item here on eBid.

Right now it is just the envelopes that I'm looking for. I was forced to go elsewhere for the other supplies and have enough at this point in time.

I would prefer to buy my items on eBid.

UK Seller has a few listings - does ship internationally according to the description although not listed for international sales.

Can't quite believe that there is only one seller on eBid ???

I just saw your message, Dean.

And I didn't see the listing that you linked. The seller states that they ship overseas in the description, but they only have the UK marked as a shipping destination, so course it didn't come up when I searched on eBid Canada.

It does surprise me that eBid doesn't have any sellers of stamp and coin supplies. It's another category that needs filling.

Hi I did have three different sizes listed for 6 weeks-not one taker! If you still need any glassines let me know, I have a few(!) lots left

Hi John, I went to the dark side and I found a US seller. So far have received one order of glassines from him and I just put in a second order when I posted my followup message to this thread.

Mail times between Canada and the UK are generally very good. When I need more envelopes, I'll keep you in mind and message you to see if you have extra and what the postage would be.

I am trying to sort out my in-law's stamps that hubby inherited. Hubby's father was an active collector while he was alive (he passed 35 years ago) and I haven't starting looking through his old albums yet. Hubby's mother continued to accumulate stamps and none have been catalogued. Right now I'm sorting and listing many of the mint GB, Canada, Germany, NZ etc. that she bought and used stamps that she saved. I think that I'll need many glassines before I'm done.

I've still got my old collection of stamps some where.
    I had loads of them.

Mind you that was 50 years ago, I wonder where I put them all.
