Can't say I noticed any 'bad behaviour' by forum members. All I did note was that the complainant was guilty of exactly what they were accusing others of, i.e. intolerance of any view that differs to their own.
That said, it is not worth entering into a debate with such people; their views are fixed and all they want is a soapbox for their complaints, not a discussion.
They told me I had joined, but did not post my comment. Don't think I will bother posting, as I do not want to be made to come in through a social networking site.
I agree. I do not think eBid needs such vigorous support; they are advancing steadily, and will continue to do so.
Very nicely written article....HOWEVER......it's written by Avril Harper who happens to be the editor of Ebay Confidential....
Is there a negative reason she wrote this or maybe she is just gearing up for a new/another job /
Even that figure is probably miles off. They use a selected user group who download software and base a projection on that - so the same as alexa stats with the downloaded toolbar. The likely user group of people who download software from siteanalytics is probably exactly the same as those who would download a useless toolbar from Alexa - highly unrepresentative in real terms (anyone know anyone on eBid who has downloaded the software so someone can spy on them?).
These sorts of figures are broadly useful for ad placement ideas - but that is about it.
I too have found everyone on the forums helpful and respectful. I have appreciated all of the help and support along the way. Would not have come as far as I have without your help. Thanks.
