New to Ebid HELP They just took my auction down????

Hi..I'm new here. Coming over from Ebay.
I listed some Hot Sauce. They took it down, and said it was because of
offense 14? It was up for two days before they took it down. How do I
find out what this offense is? All my stuff, was up on ebay with no problem.
Bottom line....If ebid does something like this....is it permanent? or do they
just punish you for awhile like ebay does? We've paid the $50 fee and we'd
like to list this item. Also, if we knew what offense 14 was, we wouldn't do it
again...
Have already written to ebid...no answer yet...
Can someone help???

I can only guess that your listing should have been a multiple item auction (Dutch auction) and you had more than one listing with the same title.

Read the rules and abide by them and then you will enjoy this site.

I'm not sure. Maybe somebody reported it thinking it had alcohol in it because of the name of the item or it could be because you have an email address displayed on your listings.

If you had more than one advert then it would have been removed as duplicate listings are not allowed on eBid and you would need to do a multiple listing.

Best to wait and see what eBid say. It's gone 11pm here in the U.K. so I expect you will get an answer in the morning as support will be snoring by now !

Never seen a numbered list of offences, but the 14th on the list of do nots is:

Listings with links to another website and/or where you are offering the same item for sale.

Having just looked at one of your listings and you have 'Please check out our other auctions HERE!' - which links directly back to eBay. That alone (even if it is not relevant to this case) is enough to get your listing pulled.

not that it bothers me but..... you might also like to remove the religious references from your listings as this could well put people off buying from you, as it has nothing to do with the items you are selling

I agree. I find stuff in a listing that is irrelevant to the item for sale off-putting, be it religious or not.

I would also dump the 'joke', or at least move it to the bottom of the listing. Google requirements for submissions are that the description should be about the item. eBid's stance is:

Never have anything in the first 250 characters of your description that refers to shipping or that says anything not directly related to describing your item.

I take from that (maybe wrongly), that eBid only submits the first 250 characters of a description to Google. If so, the item 'description' on Google will be the joke (if the listings is not simply rejected).
