Right, it's just a bad dream and I'll wake up soon
From the YDC Rules as set by Vonz:
7. Your auction(s) must be for a charity or good cause and the description of your item must include the following text:
This auction is an entry in the YDC nn charity auction competition. All money raised by this auction will go to: charity.
Congratulations to the Winner of YDC 103!
All of my YDC auctions carry a similar message to #7............"The proceeds of this auction will go to XYZ Charity. This auction is a part of YDC nnn, so please bid generously." or "This auction is a part of YDC nnn, so please bid generously. Proceeds of this auction will go to XYZ Charity.
I have never included the phrase "charity auction competition" or "all money raised will go to : charity". Number 8 clearly indicates that fair s/h fee can be charged.
The last I had heard, "This auction is a part of YDC nnn was enough; and a statement that the proceeds were going to the Charity was enough. I do not even remember when the additional language was added.
Is it really necessary for everyone to use the same words?

8. Please do not charge more than cost price for shipping / postage.

To be in the ydc comp prices start at 99p or less, hence the reason I start my auctions at £1.

Honestly, the phrase "charity competition" is a bit off-putting. The focus on giving, supporting, donating, contributing is what encourages my involvement. The competition part is the icing on the cake; but it is not a driving force for me. I would prefer not to include that specific language on my YDC auctions. If my item achieved the highest bid, and I started it at 0.99p, no reserve bid format, 4 days from the 24th to the 28th, included the language that it was part of YDC and proceeds going to specific charity; then I would consider myself the winner of that YDC session.

The words are on the YDC 103 announcement thread. And I didn't read them till after it was over (I admit it. I thought they were the same as before, but no, there were changes. It will teach me to read.).

Ya know...that's exactly what I saw. Clear winner according to rules which I have been accustomed to in the YDC is...
...the boss, the big toe...the Sarge---Cornishmaid won this one.
Haven't seen nit picking here but geez a winner is a winner. Perhaps with Vonz' computer trouble, some things may not be appearing.
