    No I thought that this particular setting was to allow your PayPal account settings for postage to over ride any eBid postage settings.

    you could also be right im unsure my box was not ticked when i checked, very useful to know about this, .till my buyer gets in touch im still at a loss to know how he managed to pay with out the postage

    it does say click here to over ride the profile settings with the transaction based postage as the transaction was on ebid with postage and the profile settings for postage are pp surley that means by ticking the box ebid postage over rides anything else ?

    my buyer has just sent the postal payment

    and a email

    so ive replied confirming posting tomoz and asked them if there using IE9 as this has not happened before so will have to see what they say !

    Yes agreed.

    With this option ticked any site you sell on will over ride any postage setting you may have setup within PayPal.

    Oh yes they can, on eBid before an invoice is sent, before you even get to paypal or google checkout

    So, what do we do if they don't pay shipping? Refund from paypal and send a corrected invoice and hope they pay?

    This has been said before but, obviously, this needs corrected and should have been corrected a long time ago. It must be a very difficult fix!

    I have a very bad feeling that we are going to be losing a lot of sales over this not to mention new buyers who will never come back! I've been lucky so far, it's only happened to me one time and on a small sale.

    yep you could do that as others have done,

    myself i sent the buyer a email explaining there was no postage payment and i would send them a PP invoice for the postage which i did and they have just paid i think the personal explaining touch goes a long way, also the ball is in there court as they have paid for the goods so its in there interest to respond

    id check out MPS16 sound advice on the PP angle to help this stop happening it is a rare event this postage not being paid but once is enough report report every time it happens with all details which will help ebid track the problem down
