    Just to update, the outstanding item that has not been shipped. I contacted the buyer but have had no reply, if I do not recieve a reply or the payment over the weekend I will probably end up having to send the items anyway. This will result in losing money overall on the sale, but hopefully gain a customer and the opportunity of making the money back later as it is the type of item that could be purchased on a regular basis.

    I shipped the item. I lost money on it but, like you said, maybe it will mean repeat sales.

    Is this only happening on items listed on Buy It Now?

    Had to refund so buyer could pay invoice..

    This new buyer will not be impressed with ebid.

    just happened to me too ive sent the buyer a PP invoice for the postage if they dont pay they dont get the goods ive also emailed ebid about this,

    I also emailed support.

    This is the response I got:

    We have reviewed the After Auction Log for auction ID 68360773 and note that the confirmation email sent to the Buyer did show the correct postage costs.

    Just plain strange.


    If it happens again I won't ship the item.

    very odd looking at the paypal confirmation of payment theres no postage added item £34.00 no postage not even postage £0.00

    the sale i had yesterday morning was a multi buy from abroad all postage paid

    can buyers alter the postage ?

    I think I read in this thread that, at least supposedly, the buyer can't alter postage. I've had several sales, single and multiple, that were paid before I sent the invoice with no problem.

    The only way for the shipping to be removed is for the buyer in question to have manually edited the shipping amount in the single item checkout form, taking it from the full amount down to zero. We are looking into why the shipping box was editable for this listing, it is normally disabled..eg. cannot be changed/edited.

    I hope this is fixed soon!

    in my AAL it says confirmation of payment by paypal £34.00 this was a single item BIN so its looking like the buyer altered the shipping cost to zero now there was no implication the shipping cost was negotiable in my book if it turns out to be the case thats trying to get goods by deception

    Just happened to me for the second time this week. Buyer did not request an invoice and paid immediately. Postage costs did not transfer over to PayPal with the transaction. Kicker is the Buyer is in the Netherlands and wants Priority Mail...uh...I am not eating that...cost is $30.50 for Priority. When I choose send invoice to buyer, the postage shows on the invoice. Emailed the buyer...hopefully this will get fixed.

    just had a reply from ebid ive deleted part of it so the buyers id and auction number dont show



    "We can confirm that the buyer received a confirmation email showing the correct shipping costs.

    Please contact the buyer through the After Auction Log regarding the discrepancy in payment amount."
