I don't think it makes me a bad seller. I'm not running a business, I just sell a few items in hopes of keeping stuff out of landfill... sometimes one person's rubbish can be another's delight. If I make a sale I get informed by email. I check my email several times a day and I respond promptly, I consider myself a good and reliable seller.

So why should my auctions be closed, even if I don't visit for hundreds of days?
No it doesn't make you a bad seller, but eBid has a problem with the bad dump & run type sellers that has to be addressed.
Perhaps with casual sellers like yourself, some lenience could be afforded by management, however, you will get that reminder email, & surely it won't hurt to log in once every 60 days?
I believe this change will be for the greater good of all.
To answer your initial question - records are available to management to know exactly when, how often, time & other info of each log in to the main site.

Because of the few dump and run sellers who have harmed sales on eBid (buyers purchasing, paying, not receiving items or correspondence) we all have to suffer the consequences and make sure we sign in at least every 60 days.

On 2 other sites I sell on, I have received reminder emails that I have not signed in for 30 days (and it has happened to me a couple of times already due to busy life etc). Juggling with different selling venues, keeping order in my life, handcrafting etc - the time just seems to whiz by. So I genuinely appreciate the email reminders.

So, having to sign in to eBid at least every 60 days (2 months) really is not a lot to ask for to ensure the site is up to date.

I think it will require more then just logging in because you can log in forever, so I think you have to have some activity on your acct.
