A tricky one at times with knives.
There are a few craft people on eBid so should the sale of craft knives be allowed? Carpet knives? DIY?
The internet can provide a cheaper place to purchase goods and also an opportunity for people who are not near major towns and cities to have the same buying opportunities as those who do. I have sold many items to more remote areas of Scotland in the past simply because it can be difficult for them to obtain locally.
In all honesty if some thug wants a knife they will get one. A kitchen knife can kill or maim in the same way as a hunting knife, craft knife or razor. It's the moron using it that is the problem.
On a lighter note I did once see a childrens cutlery set in a store for use from the age of about 12 months. There was a store sticker on it stating "Not for sale to under 18's". The kids have similar sets and to actually braek the skin you would probably need to use a hammer with the knife.

Best prices on designer and branded goods in all five stores.
I did look into the law, and without re-checking I think it is legal to sell a knife with a blade under 2.5" unluss it is fixed or a switchblade. I argued this with eBay when I had a listing removed, but to no avail. Many sites simply ban the sale of knives irrelevant of the law.
