Firstly Run Until Sold - on all your comics, you have a completely static unmoving store. Change to 10 day listings - recurring 10 times. Ironically the items that you do not have Run Until Sold are not comics - I would put those items at Run Until Sold to keep them out of the way of your comics or put them in a different shop. As your store is static the first page of your shop is not changing - the first comics the buyer will find have spelling mistakes comcis.

The date of the comics - 10/6/97 (for example) - far better to have that as June 1997, the problems with / in titles has been well documented and should be avoided at all costs. I am also presuming that Megazine should be Magazine? You need better spacing in the titles so AD2000 is actually AD 2000 - Megazine#290 becomes Magazine 290.

    The listing title below:
    2000AD Comics prog#496 from 15/11/1986

I can see by the picture that the title of this comic is the Statues of Liberty (or Liberties, can't see the end bit). Statue of Liberty is the name of the comic so needs to be in the title. Without really looking this is how I would list it: 2000 AD Comic Statue of Liberty 496 November 1986 Nov 15 - covering both keywords November and Nov - Comic - Title of Comic - Series of Comic and issue no and date.

There are a few other things which I can't remember at the moment (just got in from work). Will have a bit more of a look later.
    Cheers Matey for looking.
I have had this for a while about the listing being RUS and not auto repost I don't think that it matters that they are RUS with comic books because of the way they are searched for most buyers know who they are looking for (character wise) it is just the issue number or date they are looking for so am not to sure if it matters to much if it is high or lower in the list as long as you get the priceing right against the compertion. The only thing i can see which would be a benifit of doing auto re-list would be to catch the people that don't buy comic regularly or have been intrested by a new movie but the customers usally by new issues which i don't stock. Don't get me wrong i think the auto re-post is a good feature but is not to suited for things like comic book and trading cards.
With the comics being back issues saddly i don't stock new re-leases (have thought about it but Mrs Hush not to keen one there being more and more comics ariving every month) so i don't do much brand new this week stuff which would suit auto relist. There is also the fact of how many customers i get actually come to me from ebid it's self? have made 5 sales in the past 2 days all from newbie directed to me from google or other search engine so that's part of the reason i am looking for better key words.
Yeah I noticed the spaceing and am going through the listing to correct the spacing and sort out the spelling and to change some of the dates to. Oh and by the way it is 2000 AD Megazine not magazine think it comes from the Mega City 1 where most of the storries are based.

Google shopping is only getting just over 10% of your listings, aim for 100%. There are comic listings without the ISBN entered.
do you think then if i space out the tittles more and correct the spelling more with apear on there or is there something else I can do?

If you do not have barcodes or MPN numbers on some items you can still get them on Google Shopping but you have to jump through a couple of hoops with Google first. I did this as some of my items are without tags so there is no barcode. They should still be there as long as you have the brand, so you can list Marvel, DC or whatever, but the more information ther better. There was a thread about getting listings on Google Shopping and it is also in the eBid help.

I seam to remember not so long ago when google said they wanted barcodes and brands that you had to request that you made the listing exempt and had to fill out a form from google and then you get an exempt mark against your shop so that listings with out bar code go to google shopping has this changed??

No, that's the hoops you need to jump through for them, but it is worthwhile doing if you are not always going to have all of the required information.

You only need the ISBN - leave the brand blank. The ISBN is all you ever need for books, comics and magazines. By putting in brand info alongside an ISBN number may cause a conflict.

Fair enough - but I think you are missing out because of that. You acknowledge that you may catch people that don't buy comics regularly or have been interested in a new movie - so you have recognized a key selling point - why not act on it? One person buying one comic for those or other reasons could well end up back at your shop buying many more from you.

My key selling points: for you about not having run until sold are as follows:

    1. You know that other comic sellers are getting more custom that you - so whilst you recognize the importance of Google (absolutely vital) you also know that there are buyers on site. It's not unreasonable to assume that once a buyer has purchased a comic through one of the other sellers that they would then have a quick browse through the comics section - by having run until sold would mean they wouldn't know that you even exist.

    2. As I stated before your shop is static, your opening page on your shop has been the same for a very long time. Listings should be consistently on the move, it makes the shop uninteresting otherwise. The only reason to use Run Until Sold is if you have so many items that it becomes important not to let a certain kind/variety of item to swamp all the others you have listed.

And if you do end up altering them all to 10 day listings then its important that you don't have them all with the same start and finish time as you need to have a presence at the top of the comic section every single day.

I was thinking today about maybe doing a mix of listing some RUS and some auto re-post but at the min i would like to concentrate more on getting keywords titles and MPN and brands right first.
I am just not to sure how many people hit my store from ebid it's self rather then from google.I keep looking at it this way if all the hits are all coming from google search's then it won't matter if the store look static as no one properly looks at it from the front page hmmm.
yeah that was the other thing about auto re-list i would at some point end up with a chunk of stock not showing for say maybe days as i work full time i don't always have time to list.

Hmm think i may do a test an take mixed lot from the shop fix spelling,MPN and Brands and see how many of them sell against the RUS do you think thats a good idea?
