    Everyone, take my advice -
Be alert, be on your guard, be bold .... remember "he who hesitates is lost" (as I have found out in the last few months YDC's)
You forgot to mention that it's not safe to sleep!

I don't understand cricket either Meebo

I think there are padded leg protectors used by cricketers - could come in handy as there are a few newbies about who might want to nick ticks with unbounded ferocity. I also think there is an expression in cricket - LBW - which I think means Look Before Whizzing (as in green ticks) - meaning mine of course.
And then there are stumps - made of wood, 3 of them - could be useful as tick protector armaments, and, of course, there is a long bat - now that could be VERY useful if any newbies, squirrels, dogs, iguanas or anything else gets in the way of my winnings.
Yes, I think I quite like the idea of playing cricket!

I think they have an umpire to make sure there's fair play - we don't need one of those do we tick-nickers ?

    Who? Me!

I wouldn't do that. Sneaks off grinning!

Well I think we need an ump on this side of the pond. All those people who bid in the middle of the night or sneak in when your eyes are closed and try to get my poor little grandsons Christmas present. Someone needs to do something to watch out for my ticks.

I wonder how much an ump costs these days.

Somebody tried to steal my grandson's birthday present!! I don't think we need an ump, maybe just a posse.
