I thought the ideas that came with the magazine were likely to turn out lumpy and unattractive - the garland came from a much posier magazine which showed it in white, mustard and beige. I think it looks better in properly festive colours.

P.S. I'm knitting the baby hat in red and white from the latest magazine now.

Good morning everyone, not long now til YDC 103, and I'm getting ready to nick ticks. I have seen a LOT of things that I want and am going to get this time so if you have the cheek to bid on them too, don't expect a clean fight.

This is only my third YDC and I have learnt several things.
1 - you don't have any friends here between the 21st and 24th of any month
2 - it is not safe to be away from your computer for any length of time so eating and sleeping are risky during said 4 days
3 - your PayPal balance will vanish and you have no idea where it went
4 - it's a helluva lot of fun and hopefully raises lots of money for good causes
