Doesn't time fly, three weeks today will see the start of YDC 103.
Thanks to Al's generous bidding, I won the last YDC so get to choose this month's charity. In memory of my neighbour, Frank, who died on the first day of my first YDC, I have chosen L.O.R.O.S. - the Leicestershire and Rutland hospice who do such good work and as I expect you already know, like all hospices around the country, rely heavily on charitable donations. If you would like to have a look at their web site, it's here
Now for some reason, I seem to have gained a reputation for being a bit nutty - I have no idea why. Oh, wait a minute, it's on my siggy! So the rule of this month's YDC is fun, fun and more fun.
To get you in the mood, I'd like to tell you a little anecdote about Frank, who had a very dry sense of humour! On his wedding day to Veronica 51 years ago, he turned up wearing all his medals ( he had been in the Grenadier guards) she had no idea about these and when she asked, he told her he'd just borrowed them from the doorman at the hotel round the corner.
Happy YDC!
