I wasn't sure myself either as I didn't check to see if it was an e:commerce site.

Still...probably better I get told off than a newbie ....have shared the link on Facebook so it will be familiar to people by the time the YDC starts

In memory of my neighbour Frank who died there on the first day of my first YDC, I would like to donate the proceeds of YDC 103 to L.O.R.O.S. - the Leicestershire and Rutland hospice. His family have given me a couple of items that will be in the auction.

"LOROS (the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering) is a local charity providing care and support within Leicestershire and Rutland.
LOROS charges no fees for its services, which are available to all local people regardless of their ethnicity or faith. The Charity relies upon the generosity and support of individual people, organisations and groups as well as Trusts and the business communitiy of Leicestershire and Rutland in order to continue to fund the service.
The Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice is a specialist centre providing skilled nursing and medical care, supported by physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers, in an environment that recognises the particular needs of patients and their families. It provides expertise in controlling pain and other distressing symptoms as well as offering emotional, spiritual and social care, which allows patients to live as normal a life as possible. Working with the whole family enables both the patient and the family to cope with the changing situation so that they are able to make best use of the limited time together available to them. LOROS treats patients from the age of eighteen years and upwards."

Excellent choice.......& duly noted for YDC 103!

Are you able to let the hospice know about YDC 103, or would you like me to get in touch with them?
I'm sure they will have a professional fundraiser on staff....& a bit of supportive PR is always welcome.

Well done Nutty and a great choice for the charity, all hospices do a brilliant job and it's always nice to support a local one. I have started finding out a few bits already.

Thanks for that offer Von, but I will be getting in touch shortly to tell them all about YDC - yes they do have professional fund raisers who are very helpful.
