vintage paperbacks

I've started listing my vintage paperbacks pretty cheap on here as I'm hoping to move some traffic to this site, but also wondering about vintage paperbacks vs. modern paperbacks on here. is anyone selling vintage paperbacks and making sales?

just curious as I'm 1/3 of the way through my books and will list them all, but just wondering if i should keep focusing my energies on my other stores or keep listing books too..

Any input, experiences, or comments are greatly appreciated.

Just a suggestion, please add UK ( and other countries) to the shipping section so that we can see your listings.

As you are listing vintage paperbacks. presumably if someone wants one of your books, they would be willing to pay the extra cost from USA.

Thanks and I am currently lookinginto adding UK for shipping, so far it appears first class international may be the most cost effective. As soon as I feel comfortable with the cost assesment I will add! I recently just added Canada shipping for my cassette tapes, but not for books yet and will look into that too. Thanks again

How old, exactly, does a book have to be to be classed as "vintage"?

And does that same date apply to all the other things people advertise as such or does the age vary?

I have bought books from the USA as I regularly find books from USA sellers where the books haven't been published in the UK so it makes sense to me to add shipping to the UK

I have used paperbacks in my bookstore, some older than others. Not a lot of sales, but I have sold a few here and there.

Per the term vintage, my understanding is that anything that isn't of recent origin/manufacture is vintage, at least that's how I view it, though I tend to use the term for jools only. The books I list as used, not that it would be wrong IMHO to list the books as vintage, it's just the way I roll.

Generally the term 'vintage' is used for certain classifications of items 20+ or 30+ years old. The difference between vintage and used books would best be shown as an example. A vintage gothic book 'Adelie on Fire' (made up title) was issued in 1962. It was reissued in 1995. I rarely use the term vintage in the book title or description but in this case i might if i was listing the 1960s copy. but mostly i use the term for cover collectors who want the vintage book covers and images and not the more current ones.
