If my memory serves me right, Skrill will make a small deposit into the bank account you chose to use with Skrill as a validation procedure.

Yes, it does prompt you if you edit a listing that already has Skrill as an option (probably when you create a new listing as well). However, if you don't update your details, existing listings will still show the Skrill button - but it will fail if the Skrill email addy is not present.

Just trying to avert problems for anyone.

Ah, right, I see what you mean. Sellers with 'run until solds' etc will be showing the button on their listings without it working.

I added to my payment methods. I was using it ok before it was integrated, but not much. I want to test it out on a USA buyer/seller who has got an account.

ok so had a buyer test buy/pay via money bookers total sale price including shipping £14.20

took a few days to reach my MB account they charged £0.49 to recive payment and £1.49 to transfer to bank account.

they also charged the buyer £0.50.

I bought something with moneybookers a while back using my credit card and the credit card company charged me £3 for using moneybookers so I think maybe some buyers need to know this.

I checked my moneybookers account recently and I can't use it until I add funding to my account so have held off using it until I'm rich

Moneyookers/Skrill told me that the upload funds function is currently being worked on; and that the option to pay via email function is currently not available. This is where the Skrill savings are recognized. The only option left currently would be to use a credit card, and pay the merchant direct. This is a costly option as has already been indicated. One Skrill rep told me they received decision about stopping payment via email option; and had no idea when/if it would be restarted. A second rep told me the feature may be unavailable for at least 1-2 weeks. The purpose of using Skrill is to save money on the fee; that will not happen until the email payment function is restored.

I got into my account and was able to sort a few basic things. I am also considering some potential account features. Probably a good idea to maintain other payment methods until all Skrill features/options are smoothed out. This of course will be different for a buyer, a seller, in USA, in UK, or for other countries.
