How terrible, it is horrendous to think what devastation these fires wreak, and it so makes you appreciate the brave firemen/women who risk their lives trying to save others.

WOW cornish - I didn't know that. What a fantastic effort on ebid members part. Thanks to all involved at the time.
moonwitch - those guys 'n gals were the real heroes, many of them were volunteers from small bush brigades who worked non stop against terrible odds.
Naturally at the time, I did my part in helping $ wise, & contributed to an effort to send a semi-trailer load of pet and stock foods to the affected areas.
Once the surviving people were being cared for, there was a shortage of foods for the surviving animals in the fire regions.
These included stock & peoples pets. There was nothing left for the animals to graze on etc.
