Excellent choice Cheaver. I will be supporting emergency relief efforts targeting Colorado, and other disaster areas in USA, as I did during YDC 100.

My kids are back in their house. The fridge had to be thrown away and it had leaked and they are replacing the flooring in the kitchen. They bought a new fridge and guess what? It was 1/2 inch too big for their opening. Nothing is ever easy for them. They have most of the cleaning done and they were dealing with the 200 pounds of meat that was in their freezer. Our son didn't think they were going to have to throw the freezer out because things hadn't spoiled yet. Amazing since it had been without power for 3 weeks.

The area is now having problems with bears that have been displaced by the fire and are looking for food. It is amazing that they haven't gotten into the homes that are still standing looking for the food left behind.

Sure is nice to be home. We were set up in a parking lot and it was 97 degrees. Thought we would cook. Our poor little dog just laid in his chair and panted the whole show.
Good luck to you and your family. Hard times for sure and this excessive heat doesn't help at all! I am a firm beleiver in things such as this brings everybody closer together and eventually you will look back on this shrug your shoulders and realize you made the best of it.

I still haven't managed to post my YDC stuff or do my tally and payments for YDC 100. I think with life as busy as it is it would be fairer of me to suspend selling in YDC and stick to giving my bidding finger a good work out, so that's my plan for this one. So please all list some fun stuff in aid of this excellent cause so I can still do my bit!! I'll tweet and wotnot as well, of course. Selling just takes too much time right now, sorry.

That sounds like a wise decision. I for one am in no hurry. Sometime it becomes necessary to just step back, and regain the balance.
