Phonecard collecting

Hi all
i have just started yet another collection.
Telephone cards,i don´t know much about it yet, but if anybody collects them ,
i would like to hear from them.
I am collecting themes of food and drink advertising(coca cola,kellogs,etc,all alcohol and cigarette brands etc) also football(euros, world cup, champions league,etc).......roy

When phonecards first appeared in the UK, had a mate that would go around public call boxes collecting the discarded cards. We use to laugh at him. I bet we wouldn't be laughing now with what some of those original ones must be worth.

Like anything, the trick is collecting something before they become collectable.

Absolutely!!
I have all sorts of things, i don´t necessarily collect, i just keep them
you never know!!
Stamps, coins,beermats,banknotes,travel tickets,sugar packets,tea bags,phonecards,bottle caps blah blah blah
i actually only collect banknotes and more recently,phonecards,but i have a lot more stuff
just a hoarder i guess lol

i´ve also decided to add "disney" to my phonecard collecting theme
i soon won´t be able to move around here for "collectibles"

I have a box full of phonecards - must be 1,000+ I would think. I haven't a clue where they came from - in amongst the postcard boxes and no one has any recollection of any of my family either collecting them or buying them????? Some are in albums and some were loose. They are in the loft somewhere.....spotted them last year... Might take me about 6 months to find them again!!! They are probably with a box of 5,000+ postcards which had been sorted ready to list and now I can't find that either! Buried under 100's of boxes of postcards....
